Правильное освещение в офисе является важным фактором производительности на рабочем месте: хорошее освещение улучшает настроение, повышает концентрацию и снижает частоту ошибок. Но это не означает, что освещение должно быть включено с утра до вечера. Интеллектуальное управление освещением адаптируется к использованию офиса.
Когда в офисном помещении нет сотрудников, например, во время обеда, совещания или после закрытия, освещение автоматически отключается. Датчик присутствия постоянно контролирует уровень освещенности и интегрирует естественный свет в общее освещение помещения, добавляя необходимое количество искусственного света только тогда, когда естественного света не достаточно, чтобы гарантировать нормируемое освещение. Таким образом, можно создать идеально комфортные условия работы, но при этом добиться значительной экономии электроэнергии.
- PD2: Серия датчиков PD2 может покрывать площадь до 13 м² и поэтому идеально подходит для небольших офисных помещений. Он захватывает даже самые маленькие движения отлично, например, используя клавиатуру или перемещая мышь.
- PD11: This innovative designer occupancy detector blends in unobtrusively with any interior decor. Its visible surface height is only 0.85mm. Hence it almost completely disappears into a suspended ceiling. Despite its flat lens, it has a surprisingly large detection area of approx. 7m².
- PD9: The PD9’s sensor head is so small that you hardly notice it. Its diameter is only 45mm. Because of its small size, this occupancy detector can be built in to the light fitting. The corresponding power unit is easily poked through the hole for the sensor head during mounting, and therefore disappears fr om view completely.
- PICO: Despite the small size (33 ø x 60mm) of this mini occupancy detector, it can cover an area of 13m². The power unit is integrated into the sensor housing, and so its minimalist design allows it to be built in to light fittings.
Open-plan offices are characterised by wide areas and localised lighting requirements. There is often a wide variation in the amount of natural light at their workstations.
Therefore, workstations on the inner wall side need artificial light earlier than those on the window side. Of course, if workstations are unoccupied, no energy should be wasted on them.
- PD2: Mounted at the right locations, this detector allows for separate motion detection at each workstation. Thus each workstation gets enough light without needing all the office lights to be on.
- PD4: The PD4 is a remote control-capable occupancy detector with a large range for daylight-dependent lighting control. It uses several sensors to detect infrared, and can detect the smallest movements over an area of 32m². For movements across the detector, it can even monitor an area of 452m².
- PD4: This occupancy detector can provide daylight-dependent control of two separate lighting groups. It uses two independent, movable light sensors, and can therefore make light measurements in two different areas of the room.
Conference and meeting rooms
Lighting in conference rooms must be flexible, as only then can it be adjusted for different activities such as meetings, lectures or PowerPoint presentations. Therefore conference rooms need lighting which can quickly be switched fr om one setting to another.
- PD4: The PD4 can detect over an area of 32m² and is therefore ideal for larger rooms. The built-in light sensor measures the light level in the room and regulates the illumination according to daylight levels. If the light has to be switched off or dimmed for a presentation, the automatic settings can be manually overridden at any time.
- PD4-M-DUO: The PD4-M-DUO can provide daylight-dependent regulation of two separate lighting groups. Two independent light sensors enable light to be measured in two different areas of the room (e.g. window side and wall side). For PowerPoint presentations where only a small amount of light is needed, or for demonstrations where a lot of light is required, settings can be accessed manually via switches.
- PD4-M-DAA4G: The PD4-M-DAA4G DALI occupancy detector can control up to four lighting groups. An additional relay can be used for further custom setup. Channels 1-3 are for daylight-dependent control of lighting. The 4th channel can be used for permanent lighting, controlled either by the brightness level or by a switch. The relay channel included (Channel 5) can provide occupancy-dependent switching for another permanent light or an HVAC system.
In schools and universities, light must actively support the learning process. An even room illumination and good blackboard visibility are essential. It should be noted that most classrooms are similar in layout: on one side of the room is a window facade, which means that it is substantially brighter on this side of the room than on the side without windows. The wall side therefore needs artificial light earlier than the window side. The front area around the blackboard may need to have permanent artificial light because it requires greater visibility/legibility.
- PD4-M-DUO: This occupancy detector can provide daylight-dependent control of two separate lighting groups. The PD4-M-DUO has two independent light sensors, which measure brightness at two different points in the room, e.g. on the wall side and window side of a classroom. In its DALI detector version, the PD4-M-DUO adds more or less artificial light depending on how much daylight there is.
- PD4-M-TRIO: The PD4-M-TRIO is a 3-channel occupancy detector. In its dimming version, it has two dimmable channels and one switching channel. If both lighting runs in a classroom are controlled via the dimmable channels, it is possible for the window side of the room to receive less artificial light than the windowless side. The blackboard lighting can be controlled by the switching channel. Alternatively, an HVAC system can be connected for example, so that the room’s temperature can also be under occupancy-dependent control.
- PD4-M-DAA4G: Up to 4 DALI lighting groups can be controlled with the PD4-M-DAA4G. Groups 1-3 are for lighting control in response to room brightness. The 4th group can be used for permanent illumination (e.g. the blackboard). The additional relay channel included is a potential-free NO contact, for example for occupancy-dependent switching of another permanent light or an HVAC system. This detector is particularly suited to chemistry or physics labs, wh ere a bench for experiments next to the blackboard can also be illuminated.
Especially in rooms that are not in permanent use, such as toilets and equipment rooms, the light is often on although no-one is in the room. Here, on-demand lighting control can bring about an enormous reduction in energy consumption.
- Indoor 180-R: The Indoor 180-R is an optimal solution for toilets with lockable cubicles. Thanks to its built-in acoustic sensor, it detects not only people moving, but also sound. It can therefore also monitor “dead zones” such as toilet cubicles.
- PD3N: The ideal detector for rooms with no special requirements. This motion detector is simple to install, reliably detects movement and operates the lights accordingly.
- PD3N-Micro: The PD3N-Micro has an additional acoustic sensor. Thanks to this acoustic sensor, after automatic switch-off, the lighting can be switched back on again by sound (e.g. from someone in the toilet cubicle).
- PD9:The advantage of the PD9 is its small sensor head, which has a diameter of 45mm. Because of its small size, this occupancy detector can be unobtrusively built in to the light fitting.
- PD9-M-1C-SDB-IP65: This mini occupancy detector with a detection area of approx. 13m² and an IP65 protection rating can not only be positioned in toilets, but also used in moisture-proof applications such as in bathrooms and showers.
- HF-MD1:The HF-MD1 is a high-frequency motion detector which can be fitted in a suspended ceiling. Since the MD1 uses HF technology, detection takes place perfectly through materials such as wood or glass. Therefore it is invisible to the eye, but still reliably detects movement.
Hallways are transit areas which usually have little or no natural daylight. To ensure their safety, they are often fully illuminated continuously. Of course, this is the opposite of energy-saving. B.E.G. has therefore developed a range of different solutions for hallways and corridors.
- Indoor 140-L:The Indoor 140-L is a wall-mounted occupancy detector with push button function and integrated downlight. The high-performance LED works as a night light to permanently provide soft illumination to the hallway, and as soon as motion is detected, the main light is activated. This means that hallway safety is ensured while energy is saved.
- PD4-C:This detector has been specially developed for long corridors. Because of its special sensor and lens systems, ranges of up to 40 metres can be achieved with the PD4-K.
- Indoor 180-M-2C:The 180-M-2C wall-mounted occupancy detector has an acoustic sensor as well as an infrared sensor. Thanks to the acoustic sensor, its follow-up time can be extended if noises are detected.
- PD2N-LED: The PD2N-LED is a bidirectional occupancy detector with integrated LED ring. Two brightness values can be stored for the LED ring, for orientation light and night light. After the main light is switched off, the orientation or night light remains on for an adjustable follow-up time or else permanently. This significantly increases convenience and safety in a building’s hallways.
- PD4-M-TRIO-C-3P:The PD4-M-TRIO-C-3P was developed especially for buildings with increased safety requirements. This detector can be connected to three different phases. This means that it is possible to split the detector’s supply voltage and the operating voltage of the connected lighting across different phases. If the detector’s operating voltage fails, then both relay outputs, working simultaneously, close, and the lighting is permanently switched on. In normal operation, the device works as a conventional occupancy detector and operates the light as required.
- PD4-M-2C-DS:The PD4-M-2C-DS is suitable for spaces wh ere light has to be provided even in emergencies. This detector can be connected to two separate circuits of the AC network. The lighting system can thus be split into two galvanically isolated groups. In this way, part of the lighting remains active if one of the two electrical circuits fails.
Good illumination is important to ensure safety when using stairways. But lights switched on unnecessarily are a waste of energy. Using on-demand lighting means the light is reliably switched on, but only when it is really needed. An additional advantage of automatic lighting control is that no-one has to search for the light switch in the dark. And if your hands are full, the light is automatically switched on.
- RC-plus next:The special arrangement of the RC-plus next sensors allows wide areas to be monitored. The range can be perfectly adapted to the location by mechanical adjustment of the motion sensors. The anti-creep zone underneath the detector provides gapless motion detection.
- PD3N:People generally only stay in stairways for a short time. The primary task for detectors in such spaces is reliably switching the lighting on and off. The PD3N motion detector is perfect for this task. It is very easy to install and controls the light reliably.
- Indoor 180-TR:The Indoor 180-TR is a wall-mounted motion detector for triggering stairway light controllers, and is therefore ideal for entrances to buildings. Combined with the SCT1 stairway controller, perfect operation of lighting is guaranteed.
- Indoor 180-R:The 180-R is a wall-mounted motion detector which can be installed in all current flush-mount boxes. It has a 180° detection area and can be mounted at heights of up to 2.2m.
- PD2:Installed on every floor, the PD2 occupancy detector captures movement and reliably controls the lighting. To save costs, it can work with master-slave circuits, wh ere the ground floor is a master device and the other floors have slave devices installed.
Modern sports halls are usually multipurpose halls, which can be subdivided into three smaller halls with mobile partitions. Lighting control has to work both for the entire hall and for the three small halls. If required, it must be possible to manually override automatic control. Also, the HVAC equipment can be connected to the control.
- PD4: The PD4 is perfect for sports halls. This detector has a large detection area, offers automatic and manual lighting control and can also control HVAC equipment. One detector covers each partitioned small hall. If the partitions are put up, the detection areas overlap. If required, the PD4’s detection area can be expanded with slave devices.
The special requirements for lighting control in warehouses are the extremely high ceiling heights and the large areas that have to be covered. High-bay warehouses generally have racking 14 metres high. Here, conventional detectors have problems detecting motion at floor level. Also, the aisles between the racking are very long.
- PD4-GH: B.E.G. has detectors with special lenses in its range, ideally suited to warehouses. These detectors recognise movement even from 14 metres up, and reliably control the lighting. Using blinds, the detection area can be perfectly adjusted to the long aisles.
- PD4N: The PD4N is ideally suited to warehouse entrance and transhipment areas, thanks to its large detection area.
Underground/multi-storey car parks
Car parks are often brightly illuminated even when no-one is there. This problem can be overcome by using demand-driven lighting control. By installing motion detectors, the lighting is only activated if motion is detected, whether this is a car or a pedestrian. Once the detector stops detecting motion, the lighting is switched off.
- PD4N: The PD4N is a motion detector with a large detection area and reliable motion detection. The large detection area makes it possible to ensure complete monitoring of the area with the installation of only a few detectors.
- RC-plus next: The RC-plus next family of products is suitable for car parks. The special arrangement of the sensors allows wide areas to be monitored. The range can be adapted to the location by mechanical adjustment of the motion sensors. The motion detector can be attached to the wall or to the ceiling.
Outdoor facilities / car parks
Outside, motion detectors offer safety and convenience for outside areas, house driveways or entrance areas. If the area is illuminated automatically, you will never have to look for your keys in the dark, and steps or kerbstones will no longer be trip hazards. In addition, the light’s sudden activation scares off unwanted visitors.
- RC-plus next: Wide areas can be monitored thanks to the detector’s large range. Mechanical adjustment of the motion sensors means that the range can be perfectly adapted to the location. The anti-creep zone underneath the detector provides gapless motion detection.
- LC-plus: The LC-plus has sensors oriented forwards and downwards for complete monitoring of the area. The special arrangement of the sensors means that it can detect across an area of 447m².
- LC-Click-N: The LC-Click-N is a motion detector with a range of 12m. Underneath, the detector has an additional sensor area as an anti-creep zone, which ensures reliable detection.
